Grace's creative arts therapist Jessica E. Young, suggested Grace make valentines, since the popular "holiday" was approaching. When Grace finished her creation, she stated this was a "Valentine for Mommy."

Grace began creating art at age four. The first time she was approached to sell was her first show at age six. It wasn't until Grace turned age eight that I, her mother, realized that this was HER art, not mine and thus began to sell selected pieces. The pieces shown here were early creations, around age six that remain in our family's collection as do many pieces created during ages four to six. All sales of GraceArt originals and prints go into a special future "independent living fund." Card sales assist with business operating expenses. During 2004-5, Grace worked with creative arts expressive therapist Jessica E. Young.
